Coral Princess is one of the two mid-size ships operated by Princess Cruises. Launched in 2003 and accommodating up to 1,970 passengers, this ship was designed specifically to travel through the Panama Canal, one of several destinations offered. Its moderate size, however, does not detract from the overall spaciousness and the Coral Princess has all the amenities one would expect on a larger ship.

Over 80 percent of all outside cabins sport balconies, with cabin sizes ranging from 156 square feet for interior cabins and up to 470 square foot suites. Main areas of the ship include shops, a martini bar and a cigar lounge, plus the fabulous Princess Theater and the Universe Lounge, which have Vegas style shows and first run movies. Other entertainment choices consist of ongoing live music in many of the ships public areas, as well as nightclubs and a London-themed casino. Princess has an educational program called “Scholarship@Sea” which offers varied workshops, dance classes and other enrichment courses. Fitness buffs will really enjoy the gym, which has a wide variety of equipment and offers assorted fitness classes. Guests can also swim in one of the two pools, test themselves in the lap pool, or simply relax at the Lotus Spa with a massage or other treatment.

Princess provides guests with “Personal Choice” dining, meaning there are several options to suit individual preferences. There are two grand dining rooms, the Provence and the Bordeaux. The Provence offers a traditional five course meal with two assigned seating times, while the Bordeaux has “anytime” dining with no time restrictions. There are also specialty restaurants (reservations recommended) as well as 24 hour dining in the buffet style Horizon Court.
