Serenade of the Seas
Another of the Radiance line of ships, the Serenade of the Seas is one of Royal Caribbean’s newest, launched in 2003. This lively ship holds just over 2,000 people and offers a wide variety of accommodations, activities and entertainment, making it appealing to all types of travelers.
Cabins range from the standard inside to the larger junior suites with verandahs. All cabins offer televisions, mini-safes and turn down service. The main rooms are decorated with an open feel, lots of glass and amazing ocean views. There is a ten story glass atrium that features live music and dancing each evening, a beautiful indoor solarium and an indoor/outdoor country club with a golf simulator. Entertainment abounds with daily shows at the Tropical Theater, educational classes and demonstrations such as wine-tastings and photography, the Casino Royale and late night drinks at the Schooner Bar. Those wishing to get a bit physical can take on the rock climbing wall, workout at the fitness center or perhaps just relax at the ShipShape Day Spa.
The main dining room onboard the Serenade is the Reflections Dining Room, with the standard assigned seating options, top-notch service and marvelous cuisine. The Windjammer Café has more casual food choices, as does the Seaview Café. Specialty alternatives include Chops Steakhouse and Portofino, a fine Italian dining restaurant.
